FEATURED ARTIST OF THE MONTH

Pat Fitzsimmons
PATRICK FITZSIMMONS

Patrick has just released his fifth CD titled So Beautiful So Blue. It is his first studio release in three years. He released LIVE: The Birthday Shows in 2006 which reached 20 on that year's Folk DJ Chart. Patrick started recording So Beautiful So Blue in the fall of 2007. Half way through the project he was diagnosed with cancer and underwent treatment throughout the winter and spring of 2008. On the "good days" he was able to continue working on the CD as well as writing and recording his new song "It's Alright", inspired by this "strange and frightful twist of fate" and the outpouring of love and support from family friends and fans wishing him well and keeping him in their thoughts and prayers. Patrick is now in remission and very happy to be back out playing music again.
His third CD, Color In The Dark received high praise: Robert Resnik from "Seven Days" said, "Fitzsimmons' third self-produced recording, Color In The Dark, is yet another folk-rock gem."
